Details: This 4 day course covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as construction safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA construction standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using the OSHA standards as a guide. Students will receive a certificate from the Great Plains OSHA Education Center. This course is a prerequisite for the OSHA 500 class.

Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP)

Details: Aerial lift platforms such as boom lifts, scissor lifts and stock pickers, are called Mobile Elevating Work Platforms or MEWPs. MEWPs can be found in a variety of work settings. They are often used in place of ladders and scaffolds as they allow easier and safer access to places on the worksite especially when working at higher elevations. Details: This 3 day course is designed for those instructors who have completed the OSHA 501 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the General Industry and who are authorized trainers in the OSHA Outreach Training Program. This program provides an update on OSHA compliance, standards and industry best practices and will allow instructors to continue to conduct OSHA 10 & 30 hour outreach training. Given the Outreach Training Program for General Industry Safety and Health, up-to-date OSHA General Industry Standards, and current status as an Authorized Outreach Trainer, the participants will be able to demonstrate professional development in their field by applying effective adult learning principles and interactive training techniques to clearly identify, define and explain general industry hazards and acceptable corrective measures in accordance with the 29 CFR 1910 OSHA Standards and Industry best Practices as they continue to teach 10 and 30 hour OSHA Outreach Courses. NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety

Hazwoper 8 Hour Refresher
