Details: This course covers the use of ergonomics principles to recognize, evaluate, and control workplace conditions that cause or contribute to musculoskeletal and nerve disorders. Course topics include work physiology, anthropometry, musculoskeletal disorders, use of video display terminals, and risk factors such as vibration, temperature, material handling, repetition, and lifting and patient transfers in health care. Course emphasis is on industrial case studies covering analysis and design of work stations and equipment workshops in manual lifting, and coverage of current OSHA compliance policies and guidelines. Upon course completion students will have the ability to recognize work-related musculoskeletal and nerve disorders, assess employer's ergonomic programs, and conduct ergonomic evaluations. Details: The HACCP workshop will be held at the Quality Inn & Suites Converence Center September 28-30, 2021. The course is designed to review the philosophy and principles of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point system and to discuss how to implement HACCP in plants. This HACCP training program is consistent with the intent and scope of the USDA, FSIS regulation.his course is designed for individuals that have little or no knowledge of HACCP and individuals that would like to have a refresher on HACCP and learn of the changes that have taken place in HACCP during the last 2-3 years. One of the working groups will be designated an ''Advanced HACCP Training Working Group.'' This working group, which is limited to those that are already HACCP trained, will discuss Validation, Verification, Reassessment, Lethality, Stabilization and Listeria Control. Topics Covered: • HACCP Overview • Definition of HACCP Terms • Chemical and Physical Hazards • Microbiological Hazards • Developing SOPs and GMPs • Critical Limits, Monitoring • Methods and Corrective Action • Record Keeping and Verification • HACCP Plan Validation • HACCP Plan Reassessment. Details: The course will cover fresh sausage, cooked sausage and dry and semi-dry sausage in addition to sectioned and formed cured meats and whole muscle precooked meats.
