Derek is an experienced manufacturing manager with a background in both low-volume/high-mix and high-volume/low-mix production environments. His experience spans logistics, design, sales, materials management, cell manufacturing, and Lean, giving him a broad understanding of the operational challenges manufacturers face. He has worked in the foundry and fenestration industries, gaining exposure to a wide range of manufacturing processes and facility types.
As a Strategic Advisor for CIRAS, Derek works with Iowa companies to identify resources that support economic growth and profitability while strengthening overall operations.
