Ben previously served nine years as Animal Science Farms Director at Iowa State University, managing 25 full-time staff, seven direct reports, and 150 student employees. The Animal Science Farms included nine locations and $6 million in annual business operations. Prior to Iowa State, Ben worked in the swine industry, overseeing 150,000 finishing spaces in central Iowa and partnering with 35 independent contract growers.
At CIRAS, Ben brings extensive operational leadership and agricultural industry experience to support Iowa manufacturers.
