What problem/challenge does your presentation address, and what is the impact of that problem? This could be a large-scale economic force, common leadership misstep, organizational inefficiency, etc. (e.g., “As a wave of Baby Boomer prepare to retire, knowledge developed over decades at many organizations risks going out the door, posing new challenges for companies’ knowledge management practices.”)
Next, tell us how your presentation addresses this challenge; this could be by mentioning your experience/expertise in this field or by briefly introducing your company/org (e.g. “Company ABC has developed a knowledge management/transfer program that ensures a new generation of employees … “) Then, provide ~3 to 4 specific insights/content areas that will be addressed; bullet points are fine.
What’s in it for attendees? In what ways (2 or 3) will they be better equipped as leaders / problem-solvers after experiencing your presentation? What specifically will someone learn from attending your session?
We are planning to host the main conference at Praire Meadows (Des Moines) and smaller satellite locations throughout the state and virtually. Please indicate the location at which you are willing to present (check all that apply). Note, if your presentation is selected for the MAIN CONFERENCE location, your breakout will be simulcast live to virtual attendees.
Check the box to acknowledge you understand the ILC cannot provide compensation for breakout speakers. If your breakout is chosen you will be given a complimentary ticket for the virtual conference (maximum 2 tickets per breakout).
