Business Growth – The Foundation of Community Growth
CIRAS was founded on the belief that healthy businesses help Iowa communities prosper and grow. Our mission is to contribute to the betterment of communities by providing a wide range of services to help local companies improve. A variety of services are available in the areas of Leadership, Growth, Productivity, Technology, and Workforce.
CIRAS has a certified, experienced economic developer on staff who can directly help with community economic development efforts. We can:
- Help communities recruit, retain, or grow businesses. CIRAS services can help solve a variety of workforce, technical, or management issues. We can connect communities with training resources, strategy experts, the Iowa State University student pipeline, K-12 STEM outreach programs, and more. We can also provide data on a number of economic factors for recruiting prospective new companies to town.
- Provide economic development organization management services to help bridge the gap between a departing professional economic development director and the hiring of a replacement. Transitions take time but CIRAS can help to ensure that an organization doesn’t miss economic development opportunities in the interim.
- Provide economic development coaching to help new economic development professionals quickly assimilate to their roles. Once a new hire is on board, CIRAS can help these individuals develop within their organization and Iowa’s statewide network for economic development.
