What is Lean: Six Sigma?

Lean: Six Sigma is a structured approach to identifying and eliminating quality problems in a manufacturing or office process.  Six sigma utilizes the five-step DMAIC process—define, measure, analyze, improve, control.

See in-depth information and related links. In depth information on this topic.

What are the benefits of Lean: Six Sigma?

Implementation of Lean: Six Sigma will help

  • Increase employee involvement through team participation,
  • significantly reduce the cost of maintaining quality standards,
  • increase production capacity, and
  • reduce lead time.

What can CIRAS do for my company?

CIRAS can provide an ASQ-certified Six Sigma Black Belt to facilitate a team of company members, including management, production workers and office staff, in implementing Six Sigma principles.  Teams learn six sigma concepts, identify top defect categories, discover the underlying root causes of these defects, develop corrective action plans, and implement solutions.  The teams then document the new processes and train those who will use the new methods.

What is my next step?
