Goal
Improve the quality of life in Iowa by enhancing the performance of industry through research, education, and technology-based services.

Target Audience

  1. Iowa’s 6,000 existing manufacturers,
  2. Iowa businesses that want to sell their products or services to federal or state governments, and
  3. U.S. manufacturers and distributors of biobased products.

Programming-related Strategic Plan Objectives

  1. Provide experiential learning opportunities for students.
  2. Serve as a catalyst for campus economic development research activities.
  3. Help Iowa industry leverage globalization to improve their competitiveness.
  4. Improve the Iowa economy by helping companies aggressively compete in a global economy.
  5. Expand learning opportunities for business and industry employees.

Program Planning and Reporting Instructions
CIRAS staff are responsible for collecting CIRAS-related data for reporting to federal and state agencies and to the Board of Regents.
