Susan brings over 20 years' experience with thousands of individuals and groups throughout the U.S. in various industries such as manufacturing, academia, financial services, health care, non-profit, and government. As a Project Manager for CIRAS, she educates, facilitates and guides clients on Continuous Improvement strategies and methodologies that impact productivity and profit.
In addition to her CI/Lean expertise, Susan guides clients interested in building a constructive culture to attract, retain and/or engage their workforce. She is a Global Change Circle Member started by Human Synergistics International – the world’s leading culture experts. She also facilitates an Emotional Intelligence EI HabitMaker series where participants learn processes and habits that create a culture of membership, empowerment and meaning — breaking down barriers and shifting cultures to a more collaborative environment where they are creating innovative and customized solutions to improve their job, organization and personal life.
Her prior experience includes seven years as a PM with Rhode Island Manufacturing Extension Services (RIMES). Additionally, she was the VP of an international HR firm, where she managed five transition centers (CT, FL, DC, NY, GA) for United Technologies Corporation (UTC) and its subsidiaries: as well as consulting other Fortune 10-1000 organizations. During her ten years at Brown University, she was promoted to Manager of Training where she developed, implemented and presented training programs including supervisory, management and leadership development, and customized departmental trainings for over 2200 employees. For over twenty years she was a Senior Consultant and was selected as the Change Management Champion for Right Management Consultants, the world's leading change management/transition firm. She is a Leadership Ames Alumna, Class XXIV; and a Leadership Iowa Alumna, Class #33.
