The electronic equipment industry consists of the production of electronic components, accessories, and instruments. In Iowa this industry is made up of a wide assortment of electronic devices.

There are 109 electronic equipment industry employers in the state of Iowa, employing 5,432 people. The electronic equipment industry contributes $849,000,000 to the Gross State Product, which is 2% of the manufacturing GSP. The distribution of employees by county is displayed below:
