Wood

The wood industry includes lumber and such products as flooring, particle board, and sawmill products. In Iowa this industry is mostly wood pallets, lumber, and custom items.

There are 296 wood industry employers in the state of Iowa, employing 11,640 people. The wood industry contributes $828,000,000 to the Gross State Product, which is 4% of the manufacturing GSP. The distribution of employees by county is displayed below:
