Economic Development

CIRAS provides a wide variety of services to assist in the economic development of the state.  These include

• Educational seminars and technical assistance (see Industry Services on the left)
• Industrial research
• Regional and state-wide economic development studies
• Understanding the Greater Jasper County Labor Region, and its Workforce and Industrial Characteristics
• On-line credit engineering courses
• Information on the state of manufacturing in Iowa

 

The Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) also has resources to support community and business development in Iowa.  In addition to the technical and financial assistance provided by the department, IDED staff can also serve as a liaison with appropriate state agencies and local development groups.  http://www.iowalifechanging.com/
