What are industrial overhead cranes and monorails?

Overhead cranes lift and position work anywhere within the rectangular space defined by hook travel.  Overhead cranes include top running cranes, underhung cranes, patented track cranes, interlocking and stacker cranes.  Monorails lift and position work along a fixed path.  Overhead cranes and monorails free up valuable floor space for production.
